| Manningtree | This former anti-aircraft control centre, was built in
1951.
It was later used as an emergency centre for use by local government officials if the UK suffered a nuclear attack. The centre closed after the end of the cold war, but then remained empty for 3 years. |

| Quay | In 1996 it was opened as a museum by The Bunker Preservation Trust. The Bunker is located near Furze Hills, off Shrublands Road, New Mistley. | ||||||||
| Unfortunately, the Secret Bunker is now CLOSED. At this time we do not know if it will re-open as-is or will be used for a different purpose. | |||||||||
